Use Refine Results to Filter Records

Use Refine Results to narrow a list of records by details such as status, contact, store, or date range. It gives you more control than a general text search when you need to find a particular group of records.

Refine Results is available on record list screens, such as Projects, Proposals, Sales Orders, and Contacts. It appears next to the main search bar.

The available filter options depend on the type of record. For example, the Projects screen may provide different options than the Proposals screen.

Filter Records Using Refine Results

  1. Select Refine Results, refine results button.png, next to the search bar.
  2. Enter or select the criteria you want to apply.
Depending on the screen, the available options may include text fields, dropdowns, date ranges, or other filters. You only need to complete the options that are relevant to your search. For example, to filter records by date, enter the date range and leave the other options blank.
  3. Select Apply.
The record list updates using the criteria you selected.

Applied Filters

Each applied filter appears as a label next to Refine Results. These labels show which filters are currently narrowing the record list.

A number above the Refine Results button shows how many filters are currently applied.
